At Mother's Monologue, we value the trust you place in us when sharing your stories and experiences. We are committed to protecting your personal information and ensuring transparency in how we collect, store, and process your data.
1. Data We Collect
We collect personal information directly from you when you interact with our website, specifically:
- Newsletter Subscription: We collect your email address when you sign up to receive the Tuesday Monologue.
- Story Submissions: We collect your first name, email address, location (optional), current motherhood stage, and the story text you provide.
- Community Forum: We collect your chosen display name, forum thread titles, and post/reply content when you participate in community conversations.
2. How We Use Your Data
Your data is processed only for the core functionalities of the site:
- To distribute editorial content and newsletters you explicitly subscribed to.

- To host and display community discussions by stage of motherhood.
- To monitor and maintain site performance, security, and traffic patterns.
3. Database Security & Storage
All form submissions, stories, and forum entries are stored securely in a dedicated PostgreSQL database hosted through Supabase. We enforce strict database-level security policies (Row Level Security) ensuring that public users cannot retrieve, inspect, or modify other users' private data submissions.
4. Analytics & Cookies
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to analyze traffic patterns and user behavior to help improve the site. GA4 uses cookies to track anonymous navigation details (such as page views, session durations, and browser types). No personally identifying information is combined with this analytical data.
5. Your Rights & Data Deletion
You have full ownership of your stories and personal details. You can request to inspect, update, or permanently delete your story submissions, newsletter subscriptions, or forum posts at any time by contacting our editorial team.
